Biography:

Thomas J. Webster’s (H index: 128) degrees are in chemical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh (B.S., 1995; USA) and in biomedical engineering from RPI (Ph.D., 2000; USA). He has formed over a dozen companies who have numerous FDA approved medical products currently improving human health in over 30,000 patients. His technology is also being used in commercial products to improve sustainability and renewable energy. He is currently helping those companies and serves as a professor at Brown University, Saveetha University, Hebei University of Technology, UFPI, and others. Dr. Webster has numerous awards including: 2020, World Top 2% Scientist by Citations (PLOS); 2020, SCOPUS Highly Cited Research (Top 1% Materials Science and Mixed Fields); 2021, Clarivate Top 0.1% Most Influential Researchers (Pharmacology and Toxicology); 2022, Best Materials Science Scientist by Citations (Research.com); and is a fellow of over 8 societies. Prof. Webster is a former President of the U.S. Society for Biomaterials and has over 1,350 publications to his credit with over 55,000 citations. He was recently nominated for the Nobel Prize in Chemistry. Prof. Webster also recently formed a fund to support Nigerian student research opportunities in the U.S.

Dr. Mohamed Khayet is director of the University Complutense of Madrid (UCM) Research Group “Membranes and Renewable Energies (MER)” and Professor (Applied Physics Area) at the Faculty of Physical Sciences (UCM) (Department of Structure of Matter, Thermal Physics and Electronics). He got his Ph.D. (1997) in Physical Sciences and he realized various research stays in international institutions (Industrial Membrane Research Institute in Ottawa, Canada; Institute of Nuclear Chemistry and Technology in Warsaw, Poland; Centre for Clean Water Technologies at the University of Nottingham in UK; Singapore Membrane Technology Centre and Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, Yale University in New Haven, USA; University of California Berkeley in USA, etc.). Among other grants, he got the Fulbright Grant (2019). He is an expert in the field of membrane science, nanotechnology and renewable energies. He has coordinated various national and international projects funded by different institutions (European Union, Middle East Desalination Research Centre, Spanish Ministries; Companies such as Abengoa, etc.) on membranes and modules engineering for different separation processes. He published over 200 papers in international journals, filed 6 International Patents, published 5 books and various book chapters in the field of membrane science and related technology. Among other recognitions, he received the Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz International Prize for Water (PSIPW) in 2012. He edited various special issues in international journals such as Desalination, Polymers and Membranes. He acted as Editor of the international Journal “Desalination” (2018-2022) and served as associated editor of different journals. Currently, he is member of the Editorial Board of various journals related with water treatment, renewable energy, nanotechnology, membrane science and separation processes.

Biography:

Tanaka worked for TERUMO Co. (Leading Medical Devices Company in Japan). In 2000 he moved to Hokkaido University and in 2007 he moved to Tohoku University. His developed medical devices are commercially available in the global clinical market as a world share No.1. He was a Visiting Scientist, at Dept. of New Materials and Biosystems, Max-Planck-Institute (2008-2009). In 2009 he was awarded a full professorship at Yamagata University. Since 2015, he has been at Kyushu University as a full Professor. Thus far, he has published over 230 papers in peer reviewed journals (H-index 61), 50 book chapters, 135 others, 250 patents, over 100 invited talks at International Conferences including Society for Biomaterials Annual Meeting. He is a Fellow of Biomaterials Science and Engineering and an executive director of the Japanese Society for Biomaterials, and a committee member at IUPAC polymer division, and organized many international conferences as an international advisory board. He received the Japanese Society for Biomaterials Award, the SPSJ Asahi Kasei Award, and the British Council PMI2 Connect-Research Co-operation (UK) Award.

Paulo C. DE MORAIS (H-60), PhD, was full Professor of Physics at the University of Brasilia (UnB) – Brazil up to 2013, Appointed as UnB’s Emeritus Professor (2014), Appointed as Guest Professor of Huazhong University of Science and Technology– China (2011), Visiting Professor at Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) – China (2012-2015), Appointed as Distinguished Professor at Anhui University (AHU) – China (2016-2019), Appointed as Full Professor at Catholic University of Brasília (UCB) – Brazil (2018), Appointed as CNPq-1A Research Fellowship since 2010. 2007 Master Research Prize from UnB, 2008-member of the European ERA NET Nanoscience Committee, Member of the IEEE-Magnetic Society Technical Committee, Senior Member of the IEEE Society, 2012 China’s 1000 Foreign Expert Recipient, and 2012 Academic Excellence Award from Brazilian Professor’s Union. He held two-years (1987-1988) post-doc position with Bell Communications Research – New Jersey, USA and received his Doctoral degree in Solid State Physics (1986) from the Federal University of Minas Gerais – Brazil. He graduated in both Chemistry (1976) and Physics (1977) at UnB. ProfessorMorais is member of the Brazilian Physical Society and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers – IEEE. He has served as referee for more than 50 technical journals, takes part of the Editorial Board of more than 15 technical journals and has conducted research on nanomaterials for over 40 years. He has delivered about 190 Invited Talks all over the World. He is known for his research in preparation, characterization and applications of nanosized materials (magnetic fluid, magnetoliposome, magnetic nanoemulsion, magnetic nanocapsule, magnetic nanofilm, magnetic nanocomposite, nanosized semiconductors, polymeric dots, carbon dots, and graphene quantum dots). With more than500 published papers in peer reviewed journals, more than13,000 citations, and 16 patents, He has appeared in recent World ranking of top scientists, such as 2020-Stanford, 2022-Research.com, 2023-AD Scientific Index, 2023-Research.com, and 2024-Elsevier.

Professor Vladimir G. Chigrinov is Professor of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology since 1999. He is an Expert in Flat Panel Technology in Russia, recognized by the World Technology Evaluation Centre, 1994, and SID Fellow since 2008. He is an author of 6 books, 31 reviews and book chapters, about 333 journal papers, more than 718 Conference presentations, and 121 patents and patent applications including 50 US patents in the field of liquid crystals since 1974. He got Excellent Research Award of HKUST School of Engineering in 2012. Biography:

Dr. Jun Young Cheong is currently a reader (associate professor) at the James Watt School of Engineering, University of Glasgow, United Kingdom, since May 2024. He was previously a group leader at University of Bayreuth, serving both Department of Chemistry and Bavarian Center for Battery Technology. Prior to joining University of Bayreuth, he was a staff engineer at Samsung SDI, specializing on electrode processing. He received his BS degree, MS degree, and PhD degree in materials science and engineering from KAIST in Korea (2014/2016/2020, respectively). His current research topic includes the synthesis of functional materials, energy storage and conversion, and in situ characterizations. Jun Young has published more than 100 articles and holds numerous patents and patent applications.

His doctoral dissertation was awarded the Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation of Jiangsu Province. In 2014, Yu.S.wasvisiting researcher at the European synchrotron radiation facility - ESRF (ID12, Grenoble, France) under the program "Study of materials based on transition metal oxides using X-ray MCD”. She is an expert in the field of magneto-optical spectroscopy of various materials in the visible range. Yu.S.'s research interests also include magnetometry of materials, the irmagnetically dependent electronic transport, and spin resonance. Ya Lin has been an Associative Professor in the School of Physics at Northeast Normal University since 2021. He received his Bachelor Degree from Dalian University of Technology and doctoral degree from Northeast Normal University in 2018. He is a member of the Chinese Institute of Electronics and the Chinese Institute of Physics. As a main member, he won the first prize of natural Science in Jilin Province. In Sep-2013, Dr. Mansoor Akhtar won Cultural exchange Scholarship announced by Ministry of Education for Masters and joined Institute of Functional Material Chemistry, Northeast Normal University, China under the supervision of great scientist Prof. Zhu Dongxia. Where he served as graduate student demonstrator in Supramolecular Lab for one year (2014-2015). Dr. Mansoor Akhtar received his Master in Chemistry from Institute of Functional Material Chemistry, Northeast Normal University, China in 2015. In continual same year, he earned fully sponsored Chinese Government Scholarship for PhD degree under supervision of Prof. Su Zhongmin. During his PhD, he did research work on Luminescent material by synthesizing oxadiazole derivatives and published five research articles in international journals and graduated in 2022. Shortly after graduation, I was selected as a Postdoctoral candidate (2022) at Institute for Advanced Study, Shenzhen University, China. Where I continue to my research on “photoelectronic functional materials cationic iridium(III) complexes in using fluorescent probes and cell imaging/PLIM also got computational study for deep insight. Kyujung Kim is currently a professor in Department of Optics and Mechatronics Engineering at Pusan National University (PNU). He received B.S. in a school of Electronic engineering in 2006 and Ph.D. degree in a program for Nanomedical Science and Technology from Yonsei University, Korea in 2012. Wu Xiaodong has been an Associate Professor in the College of Nanjing Tech University since October 2023. He received his Postgraduate/Doctoral Student in the academic year from September 2013 to June 2018 at Nanjing Tech University. Dr. Asif Shahzad is a dedicated researcher and educator in the field of Medical Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. He earned his Ph.D. in Medical Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and currently serves at the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, School of Basic Medical Sciences, Kunming Medical University, Yunnan, China. His research primarily focuses on metabolic reprogramming in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC), with over 20 publications in internationally peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Shahzad has an extensive background in oncology, metabolic pathways, and drug discovery, particularly investigating the effects of natural and synthetic compounds on cancer metabolism. His work includes in silico, in vitro, and in vivo studies to explore novel therapeutic strategies. Additionally, he has contributed significantly to research on plant-based bioactive peptides, antimicrobial agents, and protease inhibitors. Beyond research, Dr. Shahzad is an experienced academic, currently teaching five courses at the university level. He is an active participant in the global scientific community and a member of renowned societies such as the American Society for Microbiology (ASM) and the Biochemical Society at Government College University Faisalabad (GCUF). Dr. Shahzad is also involved in organizing workshops and webinars under the brand 'MAS the Biochemist,' covering topics like SPSS, Prism, BioRender, and life sciences. His contributions extend to peer-reviewing, thesis supervision, and advancing scientific writing for high-impact journals. His commitment to cancer research and biomedical education continues to shape advancements in the field.

Biography:

Prof. Antonio Ruotolo received his Laurea summa cum laude in Electronic Engineering in 2002 from the University of Naples (IT) “Federico II” with a thesis on superconducting electronics, under the supervision of Prof. Antonio Barone. In 2003 he joined the Department of Materials Science of Cambridge University (UK), supported by a European exchange grant. He completed his PhD in 2006 in Naples with a thesis on spintronics, in collaboration with the Fiat Research Center of Turin. In 2007, he became a Research Associate of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University before receiving a Marie Curie post-doctoral fellowship in the group of the future Nobel Laureate Prof. Albert Fert in the CNRS/Thales joint laboratory in Paris (FR). He joined the City University of Hong Kong in October 2009 as a tenure-track Assistant Professor. He successfully completed his tenure-track and was promoted Associate Professor in July 2015. In 2019, he moved to the Florida Polytechnic University where he founded the Department of Engineering Physics and launched a new program in Engineering Physics. He is currently an associate professor and founding faculty of the Department of Engineering of the College of Charleston (SC). He has published more than 70 papers in prestigious journals, including Nature Physics, Nature Nanotechnology and Advanced Electronics Materials. He is an IEEE senior member.
